In the following page, Mario Rodríguez Riotorto states that the creation of turtle.mac came from a "challenge" by J. Rafael Rodríguez Galván (https://riotorto.users.sourceforge.net/Maxima/gnuplot/turtle/index.html); but in a textbook written in the previous year Rodríguez Galván developed his own example implementation of turtle graphics (https://rodin.uca.es/bitstream/handle/10498/18931/guia_wxmaxima.pdf?sequence=1&isAllowed=y Appendix D).
The file logo.wxm is adapted from Rodríguez Galván textbook.
