This version contains a complete new set of tools to model and analyze propellers.

  • A new Surface derived class can generate the propeller mesh from parametric data (diameter, twist, chord, pitch, etc.) .
  • The propeller model is converted automatically into a proper calculation model (set of lattices, wakes, etc.).
  • The console includes a batch command to run a complete propeller analysis (Ct, Cp and Eta as functions of J).
  • The rotation of the flow has been reviewed (it was not suitable for large rotations). This affects the free flight module in some degree.

Be aware that this new feature may contain bugs.

This release:

  • A new free flight simulator has been included.
  • The aeroelastic module has been revised.
  • The console accepts extra commands.
  • The results form has been retouched.
  • VOG files have been adapted (backward compatibility is lost for some variables).
  • The result files and result model have been adapted to accept frames.
  • The unsteady calculation mode has been removed.
  • The velocity plane has been removed (no longer compatible with the results model).

This version contains important changes in the calculation core.
Bug-fix: corrected the asymmetry of the potential functions that caused twisted panels to behave differently when changing the order of the nodes.
New feature: imported surfaces.
Other changes: some of the nodes of the XML res files have been renamed, old res files need manual adaptation or recalculation.
