TheWitcher v.0.5.0

Description

In this game players will take the role of Geralt and Yennefer, on their quest to rescue Ciri. The game will introduce a series of “relics”, objects that when grabbed, will improve one of the existing combos (making it stun, do fire damage, etc.). By shifting what combos do in each game, the player will be incentivized to use different combos, which in the long will traduce into knowledge of what each combo does. The player will end up mastering its character, each time being able to complete their adventure with faster times and better scores.

In this release you will see:

V.2 Main character with basic stage navigation (Idle / move / dash / jump). The two main character must collide with the level. The two characters looking graphically finished. A basic attack of the player. We must be able to play 2 players with Xbox controller. Blockout of the integrated engine and navigable scenario. The 3d asset with final art on the level. Functional camera system. HUD integrated. Sound: walk and hit. Particles: walk and hit.

V.3 Camera block the movement of the players Combat One magic attack + particle system finished for this attack Working combos (1 minimum) PickUps: (+health +stamina,...): can be infinite and used with a button Basic revival 2 enemies (can share the same model) with Walk + Attack + Die animations Ranged Melee Game Loop Menu -> Scene (+Pause) -> Win/Lose -> Menu Initial narrative should be included at some point of the loop (can be an intro a previous to the scene,... up to you) Win screen should display a summary of the level Main Menu: Start / Quit (+others) Initial art proposal Buttons should have visual feedback (animations + audio) Level 1 Blockout finished Part of the level with final art - Includes lighting (no need for shadows… yet) Breakable prop (crate, barrel,...) Environment music, transitioning from menu to scene. There should be music changes depending on the level (combat scene or location) Sound FX All attacks should have a sound (can be a placeholder) Movement, death

V.4 Combat: Game Feeling Polish Feedback: Exaggeration Add complexity to particles, multiple sprites Sound fx Reactions feedback Geralt model polished

2 Enemies: 1 ranged & 1 melee - different models. 4 behaviours in total: Melee, Ranged with escape, Shield & Jump.

Boss: Main mechanics & LowPoly model

Levels: 1st level art finished with “life” to the environment Polished camera positions and blocking objects 1st approach to shadows Another Breakable prop finished -> explosion particles / animation & sound Terrain Environmental music polished 2nd level blockout with colliders and camera transitions

V.5 Combat, movement and animations polish

HUD Polish. Reacting to things happening.

More Particles.

Yennefer Polish Pass.

Boss 1st final pass: art and particles.

Level: Lighting. Polish camera angles and transitions. 2nd level 1st pass (art, lighting, gameplay and narrative) & 2nd Boss prototype

Game Loop: Start menu -> 1st level -> death/campfires -> final score ->... Checkpoints / campfires
