- [Tae Kim's Grammar Guide](https://guidetojapanese.org/learn/ "https://guidetojapanese.org/learn/") is the most popular grammar guide, but also probably the most controversial **(has multiple inaccuracies)**
- [Pomax's Grammar](https://pomax.github.io/nrGrammar/ "https://pomax.github.io/nrGrammar/") is a guide that's **much more detailed** (and more correct) than Tae Kim, **but uses some linguistics** terms that might be slightly difficult for some people
- [Imabi](https://www.imabi.net/ "https://www.imabi.net/") is the **most complete** free grammar guide (as far as English guides go), but also uses the **most difficult language**, so it can be hard to understand. It also goes into way more detail than what's necessary — or even useful — for a beginner. If you enjoy grammar, go with Imabi; avoid it otherwise.

This is **probably the easiest to understand** out of all 4, but this resource is also **very divisive because of cure dolly's voice**. If you like the explanations but can't stand the voice, turn on subtitles, mute the video, and set playback speed to 2x. Thank me later.

Something important to note about this phase: your goal is, unintuitively, not to learn grammar. Kind of.
