Archiveur

Programme qui permet d'archiver des fichiers et d'en extraire.

INSTALLATION WINDOWS

1. Télécharger et installer Python3 (https://www.python.org/)

2. Installer le programme dans le répertoire : C:\Windows\System32, le fichier Batch (.bat) et le fichier Python (.py)

3. Ajouter le chemin vers Python dans les variables d'environnement.

    3.1 Aller dans "Panneau de configuration"
   
    3.2 Aller dans "Système"
   
    3.3 Aller dans "Paramètres système avancés"
   
    3.4 Aller dans "Variables d'environnement"
   
    3.5 Aller dans "Variables système", dans "Path"
   
    3.6 Modifier et rajouter à la fin de la ligne : ;C:\Python34\
        N.B.: Ma version était Python3.4, donc le nombre peut être autre que "34".
   

INSTALLATION LINUX

1. Télécharger et installer Python3 (https://www.python.org/)

2. Installer le programme dans le répertoire : /usr/local/bin, le fichier Batch (.bat) et le fichier Python (.py)

3. Dans l'invite de commandes, écrire la commande suivante pour rendre le programme exécutable : chmod +x Archiveur.py

UTILISATION

1. Ouvrez une commande console / terminal.

2. Le premier argument à entrer est le nom du programme, soit "Archiveur.bat" SUR WINDOWS et "Archiveur" SUR LINUX.

3. Le second argument est l'action à effectuer, donc "archiver" ou "extraire".

4. Le troisième argument est le nom du fichier d'archivage.

5. Ensuite, tous les autres arguments sont des fichiers à archiver ou à extraire.

INSTALLATION WINDOWS

3. Add a path heading to Python in the environment variables.

    3.1 Go to the "Control Panel"
   
    3.2 Go to "System"
   
    3.3 Go to "Advanced system settings"
   
    3.4 Go to "Environment variables"
   
    3.5 Go to "System variables", in "Path"
   
    3.6 Modify and add at the end of the line : ;C:\Python34\
        N.B.: My version was Python3.4, so the number can be other than "34".
   

INSTALLATION LINUX

1. Download and install Python3 (https://www.python.org/)

2. Install the program in the folder : /usr/local/bin, the Batch file (.bat) and the Python file (.py)

3. In the Terminal, write the following command to make it executable : chmod +x Archiveur.py

HOW TO USE

1. Open the command line / terminal.

2. First argument is the name of the program, so "Archiveur.bat" ON WINDOWS and "Archiveur" ON LINUX.

3. Second argument is the action to execute, "archiver" (archive) or "extraire" (extract).

4. Third argument is the name of the file where you want to put the archive / extract files.

5. Finally, every others arguments are the name of the files you want to archive or extract.

My code is in french because it was for a school project (and i'm from Québec, so we need to use french :) ).
