Some helpful links/resources for other types of setups:

  • Use Adguard Home for DNS

  • Fix "Region Selector" on the Hive on self-hosted instance If you are using your own DNS server, you can fix the "Region Selector" located in the hub area of the "Hive" by adding specific rules to the Hive domain zone file to not override the region-specific domains. You would add the following to the end of the zone file: 
    ca           NS      gns1.cloudns.net
             NS      gn2.cloudns.net
             NS      gn3.cloudns.net
             NS      gn4.cloudns.net
fr           NS      gns1.cloudns.net
             NS      gn2.cloudns.net
             NS      gn3.cloudns.net
             NS      gn4.cloudns.net
sg           NS      gns1.cloudns.net
             NS      gn2.cloudns.net
             NS      gn3.cloudns.net
             NS      gn4.cloudns.net
