How to manage domains

RISCOSS Domains

RISCOSS platform allows having several domains in the same deployment. A domain is a container for all the data related to a given context. In each domain, users can specify his own models, layers, roles, and store relevant data for performing risk analysis (e.g., business models, risk reports, etc.). Domains are isolated by default, and each domain has its own access rules. Domains allows for different deployment scenarios:

  • Single domain deployment. This would be the typical case of an organization wanting to use RISCOSS internally. It will deploy the RISCOSS Platform in their premises and manage the system internally as other IT systems.
  • Multiple domains deployment in a single organization. This case is similar to the previous one, except that an organization might want to have multiple isolated domains for their operations (e.g., different domains associated to different departments of the same company)

Managing users and user groups

One of the responsibilities of the platform administrator, besides to set up the deployment is managing the authorisation and authentication functionalities for each domain.
