For security reasons add-ons are not allowed to open the following URL types:
- chrome URLs (e.g.
chrome://browser/content/browser.xul) - javascript URLs (e.g.
javascript:alert("hello");) - data URLs (e.g.
data:text/html,content...<p><a name%3D"bottom">) - file URLs (e.g.
file://host/path) - privileged about URLs like
about:config,about:addons,about:debugging
