Where To Find

The drone and the controller is displayed in the lab on the third shelf. The remaining are placed in the box and you can find it in Storage Room - Shelf B2.

In The Box

Parrot Bebop 2 FPV is a big box wich contains two separated boxes inside. One includes Parrot Bebop 2 drone and the other includes the Parrot FPV pack. Below is the list of the contents in each box. Please check the list when you receive the drone and before you return.

    How To Make It Works

    Charging the Batteries

    There are two charges provided with the Parrot BEBOP 2 FPV. One to charge the drone battery and the other to charge the remote controller.

    Charging the Parrot BEBOP 2Battery

    1. Select the plug (provided) for your country and put it on the charger.
    2. Connect the supplied cable to the charger.
    3. Connect the battery to the charger's cable, and then plug the charger into the mains.
      • The warning light is red while charging and then turns green when the battery is charged. The battery charge time is approximately 80 minutes. Flying time is approximately 30 minutes.

    Charging the Parrot SkyController 2 Battery

    1. Take the adapter appropriate to your country and fix it on the charger.
    2. Connect the charger cable to Parrot Skycontroller 2, then plug the charger into the mains.

    Powering Up

    1. To start the drone press the white button on the back of the drone.
    2. The button will blink red for color indicating the boot process in progress.
    3. When it turns steady red then it is ready to be used.

    Connecting a Smartphone

    1. Download FreeFlight Pro app that correspond to your mobile device OS. You can get it from google play Or app store
    2. Switch the Parrot Bebop 2 on.
    3. On your smartphone, carry out a search for Wi-Fi® networks available:·if you are using an iPhone or an iPad, select Settings > Wi-Fi;·if you are using an Android™ smartphone, select Settings > Wireless and networks> Wi-Fi.
    4. Select the network: Bebop2_xxxxx.
    5. Wait for your smartphone to connect to the Wi-Fi network of the Parrot Bebop 2. This connection is generally represented by the Wi-Fi logo appearing on the smartphone screen.
    6. Launch the FreeFlight Pro application.> The connection between your smartphone and the Parrot Bebop 2 is established automatically.

    Connecting the Parrot SkyController 2

    1. Place the Parrot Bebop 2 on a flat surface.
    2. Switch on your Parrot Bebop 2.
    3. Press the ON/OFF button on the Parrot Skycontroller 2 to turn it on.
    4. Wait until the warning light is solid green.
      • Now you are connected to the Parrot Bebop 2 Power, you can control it.

    Using the Parrot SkyControlller 2 With A Smartphone

    1. Screw the smartphone holder onto the Parrot Skycontroller 2.
    2. Press the right button on the holder to fully open it.
    3. Position your smartphone on the holder.
    4. Tighten the holder on your smartphone.
    5. Turn on Parrot Skycontroller 2 and your drone
    6. Using your smartphone's USB cable, connect your smartphone to the Parrot Skycontroller 2's USB port.
      • The FreeFlight Pro app starts automatically. You are connected.

    Using The Parrot Cockpitglasses 2

    FreeFlight Pro in FPV mode must be enabled before placing the smartphone in the Parrot Cockpitglasses 2.

    1. Plug one end of your smartphone's USB cable into the Parrot Skycontroller 2 and the other end into your smartphone.
      • If this has not yet been done. The FreeFlight Pro app will launch automatically on your smartphone.
    2. In the FreeFlight Pro app, go to Fly & Film and press the FPV icon.
      • FPV mode launches on your smartphone.
    3. Unfold the Parrot Cockpitglasses 2.
    4. Connect the Parrot Skycontroller 2 to the drone.
    5. Open the front cover of the Parrot Cockpitglasses 2.
    6. Place the smartphone in the center point of the height and length of the Parrot Cockpitglasses 2.
    7. Close the front cover to hold the smartphone in the Parrot Cockpitglasses 2.

With the Follow me feature, capture your best moments with high precision thanks to the use of advanced visual recognition technology and the GPS tracking system on your Smartphone. Cycling, running, rowing, climbing… Everything is possible! Leave your Smartphone in your pocket and let your drone film you in your everyday activities with complete autonomy.

    The "Follow me - GPS & visual tracking" feature is available as an in-app purchase in your Freeflight Pro application.

PRECAUTIONS FOR USE AND MAINTENANCEPARROT

  • SKYCONTROLLER 2
    1. The Parrot Skycontroller 2 is intended to fly the Bebop Drone, theParrot Bebop 2 and the Parrot Disco and is not suitable for children under 14years of age.
    2. Check the list of drones that are compatible with the Parrot Skycontroller 2 inthe Support section on www.parrot.com. Only use accessories specified by Parrot Drone SAS.
    3. If sand or dust gets into the Parrot Skycontroller 2, it may be irreparably da-maged and no longer function correctly.
    4. Do not expose the Parrot Skycontroller 2 to rain or sun for an extended period.
    5. Do not use this device near liquids.
    6. Risk of ingestion of small objects. The packaging is not part of the product andmust be discarded as a safety measure.
  • PARROT COCKPITGLASSES
    1. This device is not a toy. Only use the Parrot Cockpitglasses when you are flyinga Parrot drone.
    2. Do not disassemble, change or repair your Parrot Cockpitglasses yourself.
    3. Make sure you are not close to people, objects, stairs, balconies, windows, fur-niture or any other item that you might hit when using the Parrot Cockpitglassesor immediately after their use. Do not hold sharp or dangerous objects whenusing Parrot Cockpitglasses. Never wear Parrot Cockpitglasses in situations that require your attention, suchas when walking, riding a bicycle or driving.
    4. Ensure that the Parrot Cockpitglasses fit comfortably and securely on yourhead, and that the image is sharp and not doubled.
    5. Do not use Parrot Cockpitglasses when you are tired, sleep-deprived, underthe influence of alcohol or drugs, if you suffer from headaches or digestive pro-blems, if you are suffering from emotional stress or anxiety, or if you have a cold,migraines or an earache, as this may increase the side effects.
    6. Do not use Parrot Cockpitglasses when you are in a vehicle in motion, such as acar, bus or train, as this may increase the side effects.Do not wear Parrot Cockpitglasses if the smartphone is not attached to it.
    7. Only use accessories specified by Parrot.
    8. If sand or dust gets into the Parrot Cockpitglasses, they may be irreparably da-maged and no longer function correctly.
    9. Do not leave the Parrot Cockpitglasses in the rain and do not expose them tosun for extended periods.
    10. Do not use this device near liquids.
    11. Risk of ingestion of small objects. The packaging is not part of the product andmust be discarded as a safety measure.
  • PARROT BEBOP 2
    1. The internal memory for video recording is limited to 29 minutes.
    2. The Parrot Bebop 2 is not suitable for children under 14 years of age.
    3. The Parrot Bebop 2 is a model aircraft designed for recreational and leisurepurposes. The pilot must always maintain direct visual contact with the ParrotBebop 2 and monitor its trajectory. The Parrot Bebop 2 must be used in accor-dance with the civil aviation regulations in your country. You should only usethe Parrot Bebop 2 in open spaces so that you can ensure the safety of people,animals and property at all times. There are some public places such as trainstations, airports, etc., and roads where you may not be permitted to use yourParrot Bebop 2.
    4. During flight, the propellers of the Parrot Bebop 2 can cause injury to peopleand damage property.
    5. Do not touch the Parrot Bebop 2 while it is in flight! Wait until the propellershave completely stopped before handling the Parrot Bebop 2.
    6. Only use accessories specified by the manufacturer.
    7. Irreversible damage may be caused if sand or dust get into the Parrot Bebop 2.Should this occur, your drone may not function as intended.
    8. Do not use the Parrot Bebop 2 in adverse weather conditions such as rain,strong winds, and snow, or in poor visibility conditions, for example, at night.Keep the Parrot Bebop 2 away from high voltage power lines, buildings or anyother potentially dangerous areas.
    9. Do not use this device near liquids. Do not land the Parrot Bebop 2 on water orany wet surface as this may cause irreversible damage.
    10. Avoid subjecting the Parrot Bebop 2 to any sudden significant changes in alti-tude. Do not leave the Parrot Bebop 2 in sunlight.
    11. Risk of ingestion of small parts. The packaging is not part of the product andshould be disposed of for safety reasons

Ground SDK Mobile

Parrot Ground SDK Mobile is available as a ready-to-compile source code, an iOS CocoaPods and an Android AAR. Ground SDK Mobile allows any developer to create its own application for ANAFI. All the features of the ANAFI (control, video, settings) are accessible through an easy-to-use and fully documented API set. The code is released under BSD-3 license, along with a quick start guide, full API documentation, and a ready-to-use demo application implementing all the available APIs.

PDrAW

Video player and metadata

  • PDrAW (pronounced like the name Pedro) is a video viewer for medias created by Parrot drones, like ANAFI. The viewer supports both streamed (RTP/RTSP) and recorded (MP4) videos, on Linux, macOS, Android and iOS platforms.
  • PDrAW is the video pipeline implementation of Parrot Ground SDK Mobile, used in Parrot’s FreeFlight6 application, both on iOS and Android.

OLYMPE

Python framework for drone and simulation

  • Olympe provides a Python controller programming interface for Parrot Drone.
  • The main purpose of Olympe is to be used with Parrot's simulation environment, Sphinx, but it can also be used to control physical drones from a remote computer.

SPHINX

Full simulation environment

  • Parrot Sphinx is a simulation environment for Parrot Drones, based on the Gazebo engine. It was developed for prototyping and testing drone software.
  • You will also be able to test your Ground-SDK application with Sphinx, before using it on a real drone.

Create, Simulate, Print

  • You can download the blender 3D model of Parrot ANAFI to integrate in your project, or create and print add-ons and accessories!
  • The application can be downloaded from here

Putting The Device Back

After finish using the device, it is important to turn off, disassemble and put it back in the box as it was found, then put the box back in its place.
