I like this language tutor interface.
However, I think in order to stay motivated to learn the language it needs extra features.
I would like to see a feature whereby couples can help each other learn each other's native language. I am thinking of some kind of interaction where one couple can suggest words or sentences which get added to a personalized learning database. Then the other person can practice the knowledge from that personalized database (words, sentences, etc.) and keep track of their progress and proficiency in a duolingo-like style.
In the beginning it should be just FUN! So something like sharing words and sentences. Then the language tutor can pull from the database that the spouse / partner has created in order to make it engaging.
I also think that it would be useful to include push notifications as a reminder to practice. But that would be something for a native app.
