This snapshot introduces the new Timeline tool and will prevent story events from having a negative time value by normalizing the entire timeline above zero.

New Features in 21w45a

• Added Timeline tool

Timeline

The Timeline will arrange the story events in your story so that you can visually see how they relate to each other in time.

• Story Events can be dragged and dropped to move them through time
• Select regions of time in the timeline ruler to add or remove time between story events
• Toggle "Condensed" view of story events to fit more on your screen at once. Mouse over condensed story events to see their name.

Changes in 21w45a

• Story events can no longer have a negative time value. If you try to do so, the application will normalize the entire timeline above zero.

Story Event List

• Can now right-click on a story event to view it in the timeline. This helps to quickly locate a far-off story event without having to scroll all the way over.

Get the Snapshot

Download either the .exe or .msi file below and run it. Soyle Stories will be installed, or updated, if you have a previous version installed.

This snapshot build adds the story event list tool to the left sidebar and moves the scene list tool to the right sidebar.

To install, download the .exe or .msi file and run it. (May have to override windows defender as signing has not been completed yet).

Versioning Changes:

This release is also the start of the new versioning rules that will be used. The git branch does not match with the release name, but they will from now on (after this branch is merged)

How to Install:

Simply download either the .exe or .msi files and run it. If you've previously installed Soyle Stories, it will automatically replace the currently installed version.

Pre 0.1.13 Alpha

This release adds a list of scenes to the location details tool as well as the ability to see which scenes were affected after removing a location from the story.

To Install, just download the msi or exe installer and run them. If you have a previously installed version, windows should replace it (if installed into the same location).

Scene Characters Tool

This release introduces the scene characters tool and removes the scene details tool. Also adds the concept of a character role and a character's desire within the scene.

Just run the .msi installer for windows.

Pre 0.1.10 Alpha

Added Scene Symbols tool and redesigned scene list.

• pin symbols to a scene to keep track of which symbols you plan to use
• unpinned symbols will be automatically added/removed when you mention a symbol in the scene's prose.

HOW TO RUN:

1. Download the image-win.zip file and unzip it.
2. Inside the soyle-stories-desktop-win/bin folder, you will find two files: soyle-stories-desktop.bat and a file of the same name without an extension. Try running the .bat file first (you may have to do this through a terminal if nothing happens initially). If it doesn't work, try opening a terminal and running the file without an extension.
