My grandma mentioned she's getting bored with Tamil cinema and asked for some good Tamil dubbed non-Indian movies. To help her out, I decided to find a list of such movies. Instead of manually searching for movies on the IsaiDub website, I created this project that automates this process. Here's what I did:
- Developed a web scraper to extract all the Tamil dubbed movies from the IsaiDub website.
- Created a JSON database of these movies.
- Sorted the movies by their IMDb number of votes to ensure we get the most popular ones.
- Uploaded the sorted list to IMDb, TMDB, Letterboxd for easy access and community sharing so you people.
Now, I can easily recommend some great Tamil dubbed movies to my grandma based on their popularity and IMDb ratings.
If you want to use this project, make sure to modify shared.js and .env.
This project's source code was last modified in December 2023 and uploaded to GitHub in June 2024. So I forgot how it works and so there are no usage documents. Sorry. I hope you enjoy my list.
