Fashion Deck

Fashion Deck is an innovative Next.js application designed to revolutionize wardrobe management. With this app, users can effortlessly organize their clothing collection, create stylish outfits, and receive personalized fashion recommendations.

Fashion Deck is in its early stages, and we're actively seeking contributors of all skill levels! Whether you're a seasoned developer or just starting out, there's a place for you in our project. We welcome any kind of help or advice to make Fashion Deck the best it can be.

Technologies Used

Getting Started

These instructions will get you a copy of the project up and running on your local machine for development and testing purposes.

Prerequisites

  • Node.js (v14 or later)
  • npm or yarn
  • Git

Installation

  1. Clone the repository:

    git clone https://github.com/your-username/fashion-deck.git
    
  2. Navigate to the project directory:

    cd fashion-deck
    
  3. Install dependencies:

    npm install
    

    or

    yarn install
    
  4. Set up environment variables: Create a .env.local file in the root directory and add the following variables:

    DATABASE_URL="your-database-url"
    NEXT_PUBLIC_CLERK_PUBLISHABLE_KEY="your-clerk-publishable-key"
    CLERK_SECRET_KEY="your-clerk-secret-key"
    
  5. Run database migrations:

    npx prisma migrate dev
    
  6. Start the development server:

    npm run dev
    

    or

    yarn dev
    

The application should now be running on http://localhost:3000.
