The paper introduces a low-complexity method for Vibration-Based Condition Monitoring (VBCM) of rolling bearings based on joint analysis of Instantaneous Amplitude (IA) and Instantaneous Frequency (IF) information of the generated vibration signal. Specifically, the proposed method employs the Hilbert Transfrom (HT) to obtain instantaneous information and then jointly analyze IA and IF, facilitating new three joint instantaneous amplitude-frequency representations of the vibration signal:
- Instantaneous Amplitude-Frequency Mapping (IAFM)
- Instantaneous Amplitude-Frequency Correlation (IAFC)
- Instantaneous Energy-Frequency Distribution (IEFD)
