Please make sure the correct MIME type is given for all the lyric files, it should be text/plain. Failure to do it will issue an error in IE or Firefox. Something like this:

XML5619: Incorrect document syntax. Line: 1, Column 1

On Apache servers, you can use the .htaccess file to set the MIME type based on the file extension:

AddType text/plain .lrc
