⚠️ osumer is no longer cross-platform compatible. It only supports Windows, and tested on Windows 10 Build 1809.

WARNING: Please uninstall any previous versions of osumer before installing it to avoid confusion. This version itself does not conflict with old versions, but it could make confusion to the users. Use osumer-updater to automatically do this for you.

Installation instructions:

osumer-setup.msi is for advanced users only.

  1. Terminate any existing versions of osumer, including background running daemons. Currently, the installer/updater cannot terminate them itself properly. You can:

    • Press Win+R on your keyboard and type taskkill /F -IM javaw.exe

  2. Install vc10redist_x86.exe and vc15redist_x86.exe before installing osumer2.

  3. Download Release.zip and extract it.

  4. Execute setup.exe

  5. Make some modifications to the system settings.

    • Windows 10:

      1. Navigate to Windows Start > Settings > Apps > Default apps
      2. Set Web browser as osumer2
      3. If it does not work, please visit this issue to see if it can help.

    • Windows 7 or older:

      1. Navigate to Control Panel.
      2. Search for default programs and click on Default Programs.
      3. Click Set program access and computer defaults.
      4. Pull-down the Custom configuration.
      5. Press osumer2 in the Choose a default web browser section, and click OK.

Change-log:

  • Applies fixes from #47 to allow new beatmaps to be downloaded

Known issues:

  • Beatmap searching features are removed currently
  • View Dumps does not work at the moment. Navigate to %localappdata%\osumerExpress\dumps instead for viewing dumps.
  • Start, Pause, Stop buttons in Queues are not implemented to work at the moment.

The installer is bundled with Java Runtime Environment SE 8 Version 311 (32-bit). By installing osumer2, you agree with the terms and license of Oracle Java SE 8.

Application License

osumer2 is licensed under the MIT License. You may not be able to hold the owner liable for any claims and damages. By using osumer2 Overlay, you agree with terms and license of osumer2.
