The Application of DuPont Analysis to Major Companies in Various Industries

The DuPont Analysis is a fundamental model used in finance to investigate a company's performance based on dissecting its Return On Investment (ROI).

This study compares the performance of 5 different industries by picking a major company from each industry and applying the DuPont Model. The following are the 5 companies and the industries they represent:

1. Delta Air Lines (Airline)
2. Kroger Company (Retail)
3. Starbucks (Coffeehouse)
4. Microsoft (Software)
5. Amazon (e-Commerce)
