Real-time diagnostics and AI/ML-based analytics in healthcare is currently met with significant challenges in scalability, generalizability, and accessibility of data, platforms and tools. My mission is to break-down these silos by developing large-scale data repositories and cloud-based workflows that ultimately result in an efficient and streamlined end-to-end data lifecycle. In parallel with this I utilize this data and high-compute infrastructure to develop predictive models that can be translated back to the hospital and leveraged by clinicians to advance patient treatments and outcomes. This work is primarily based in pediatric neuro-oncology and neuro-radiology (brain cancer in children), and utilizes Radiology imaging data (brain scans) and their combination with other -omic and clinical data types. I have a PhD in Cognitive Neuroscience (Univ of Pennsylvania) and a passion for all things big data, AI/ML, and brain imaging.
