Node.js Chat App with Socket.io

This is a real-time chat application built with Node.js, Express, and Socket.io. It allows multiple users to communicate with each other instantly.

Getting Started

Prerequisites

  • Node.js and npm should be installed on your system.

Installing

  1. Clone the repository to your local machine:

git clone https://github.com/alonz22/node-js-chat-app

cd node-chat-app

  1. Install the dependencies:

npm install

Usage

  1. Start the server:

node src/index.js

  1. Open your web browser and visit http://localhost:3000.

  2. Enter your name and join the chat room.

  3. Start chatting with other users in real-time!
