Meet Me Halfway Application: Objective

Meet Me Halfway is a mobile application for individuals who would like to do as the name states - find the halfway point and where they can meet! They will also be able to choose different points of interest depending on their needs and wants. The users will be able to register or login to their account in order to use the application. Additionally, once a location has been chosen, they can be directed to a separate map application to get directions to the chosen location.

Functionalities

Implemented:

We have successfully implemented the following functionalities:

• Registration and Login.
• Google/Apple Login.
• Backend database for user information storage.
• Google Maps Places API: Displays Google Map Widget and allows the user to enter locations.
• User Dashboard: Basic profile information displayed as well as customizable features.
• Midpoint algorithm: Calculates the midpoint of two user-dependent locations.

In Progress

• Place Autocomplete: Returns place predictions in response to user search queries.
• Method for filtering nearby places by selected "type."
