A browser extension that redirects Medium articles to the Freedium Service. Supports toolbar (browser action) redirection and a context menu option that can be accessed by right-clicking on Medium pages or links.
- Toolbar Redirection: Click the extension icon to instantly redirect the current Medium page to
freedium.cfd
. - Context Menu Redirection: Right-click on any Medium page or link and select "Open with Freedium" to redirect the link or current page.
You can install the Freedium Browser Extension using one of the two methods:
- Download the
.crx
file for the extension. - Open Chrome or Opera and navigate to the Extensions page:

- Opera:
opera://extensions/
- Chrome:
- Enable Developer Mode by toggling the switch in the upper-right corner.
- Drag and drop the
.crx
file onto the Extensions page. - Follow the prompts to install the extension.
- The Freedium Browser Extension should now appear in your browser’s toolbar.
To install the extension manually:
- Download the repository or clone it using:
git clone https://github.com/ayekaun-inc/Freedium-Browser-Extension.git
- Open Chrome or Opera and navigate to the Extensions page:

- Opera:
opera://extensions/
- Chrome:
- Enable Developer Mode by toggling the switch in the upper-right corner.
- Click Load unpacked and select the folder where you cloned/downloaded the extension.
- The Freedium Redirector extension should now appear in your browser’s toolbar.
- Navigate to any Medium article.
- Click the Freedium Redirector icon in the browser toolbar.
- The article will open in
freedium.cfd
.
- Right-click on any Medium page or link.
- Select "Open with Freedium" from the context menu.
- The page or link will be redirected to
freedium.cfd
.
