MBSS is an application designed to create and maintain your own beatsaber-stripped repository.
This tool serves as a contingency plan for BeatSaber modders who want to ensure they have access to stripped game versions in the event that public repositories become unavailable.
- Clone this repository
- Ensure you have Rust and Cargo installed
- Set up the necessary environment variables (see Configuration section)
- Run
cargo build --release
to compile the application - Run the application (see Usage section)
When you run MBSS for the first time, it will set up a local Git repository and download essential tools such as DepotDownloader
and GenericStripper
.
In the repository, you'll find a versions.json
file listing the BeatSaber versions to process, formatted as follows:
[
{
"version": "1.0.0",
"manifest": "1234567890123456789012345678901234567890"
}
]
To add a new version, simply append an entry to this array with the appropriate version number and manifest identifier.

Don't forget to commit the changes to the versions.json
file to the repository before running the application again.
