Brian Oxley

Brian is a 30-year veteran in IT. He started in phone support for a DOS virtual memory extender, and then moved into system administration on various UNIX flavors. He fell in love with writing code including 10 years in fintech (equities, commodities, regulatory), and 10 years at Thoughtworks (coaching, consulting, coding, architecture, delivery). His first programming books on the recommendation of friends were K&R, SICP, and the Dragon book. Outside the tech world, he plays bridge, writes classical music, and plays D&D.

John Libby

John started writing software in the early eighties on a Commodore VIC-20 and has been coding ever since. Professionally he has worked in the IT industry for almost 30 years. In his free time, he enjoys traveling, cooking (often getting ideas from his travels) and making music with analog synthesizers.
