AWS Generic Getting-Started Guide

This repo contains one document: a generic (not project-specific) description of how one gets started on Amazon AWS EC2:

• Obtaining an AWS account

• Setting up an "instance" on Amazon AWS EC2

• Connecting to an instance.

All this information is of course available on Amazon AWS' own on-line documentation, but this narrative may be easier to follow for first-time users.

The following commands render the sources into HTML and PDF, respectively (needs Sphinx/Restructured Text installation for HTML and LaTeX for PDF):

    $ make html
    $ make latexpdf

Then, you can view the HTML version by pointing your browser at:

    _build/html/index.html

and you can view the PDF version by opening:

    _build/latex/awsgettingstarted.pdf
