I've checked my music volume, downloaded a few midi drivers, messed around in the console, and still can't listen to my midi tunes! Is this a bug, or is this just something on my pc

Are you using Linux or Windows? If Linux, unfortunately that isn't offer much support, other than you'll need to I think grab a soundfont, set the SDL_SOUNDFONTS environment variable, and make sure the SDL installed has Fluidsynth support(?). If Windows, then is SFX working? Is s_musicvolume set to 100% in doomretro.cfg? If you open Windows' volume mixer while DR is open, is the individual volume for DR at 0?
Are there any plans to include OpenAL or some other method of playing music on Linux out-of-the-box?. As far as I am aware, only Doom Retro has this issue on Linux where no music is played. This is one of the best source ports I know (on-par with Helion Engine IMO) but this issue is significant.
