About Using the Brooklyn Wiki

ahgittin edited this page Apr 1, 2012 · 1 revision

Most documentation is collected using markdown, as shown on the main website brooklyncentral.github.com (and described here. This allows us to version it, grep and sed it, and generally track it better than Wiki.

But this Wiki might be good for:

  • pages that lots of people want to change (like a list of users, if someone wants to start that!)

  • proposals that want discussion beyond what is in the Github Issue Tracker

  • staging area for new documentation (markdown mode in the wiki makes it easy to drop in to the project documentation)
