Welcome to the pwb wiki!

This is the first time I've tried the wiki feature of GitHub, so please forgive unconventional content as I figure out how this works.

I using the wiki feature to document issues, especially design decisions, about which I would like hear opinions. I am trying some things that I don't see implemented elsewhere, so I need other viewpoints to confirm, criticize, or maybe redirect my efforts.
