Connecting to IRC Server

Use an IRC client to connect to the IRC server at irc.libera.chat.

Registering Nickname

To register the current nickname:

/msg NickServ REGISTER <password> <email>

Confirm the registration using the code sent via email:

/msg NickServ VERIFY REGISTER <nickname> <code>

If there is a problem, drop the registration with this command and start over:

/msg NickServ DROP <nickname>

To authenticate the nickname:

/msg NickServ IDENTIFY <password>
