Suppose you have followed the instructions in "Create your first snippets" and have created a snippet named "test". You can try to trigger it.

To Trigger a snippet:

  • After you have created the snippet "test" as shown in "Create your first snippets", you can open a new document in Notepad++ and try it out.
  • Type in test in a new document and hit the keyboard button [tab]. You will see the word test disappear, and it's substituted by Hello FingerText!!

Now you know the basics of Fingertext. While creating your own snippets is fun, you may want to install some default snippets instead of creating them all on your own. Fingertext do provide some default snippets. Here is the instructions of how to install them.
