Hingo is my first React project and a small creativity tool that enables teams to find new directions for improving their product. It contains 52 heuristics (Wikipedia: "[A heuristic is] any approach to problem solving [...] that employs a practical method that is not guaranteed to be optimal, perfect, or rational, but is nevertheless sufficient for reaching an immediate, short-term goal or approximation.) For this use case, a heuristic is an approximation used by the brain in order to make decisions. Reflecting on them can lead to the discovery of untapped potential for product improvements.
Hingo can be used in both German and English.
- Visit hingo.florian-bogner.de
- Cycle through randomly selected heuristics and discuss whether they could be interesting for your product.
- Bookmark interesting heuristics with the "↓" button.
- Generate a PDF of your selection with the download button.
- Use the space underneath each heuristic in the PDF to scribble and explore how you could implement it. This is most effective if each team member starts on their own and shares the results with the group afterwards.
