Octopus is a music tracker that is inspired by both octamed and fasttracker.
There are many useful key-commands to make for an efficient keyboard oriented workflow. (Is a bit of a learning curve but should be pretty easy for octamed users)
The audio processing is bare bones in order to provide a gritty sound. 
Samples are converted to 12bit resolution as a middle ground between 8bit grime and 16bit shimmer.

Required Libraries:

Debian:
sudo apt install libsdl2-dev
sudo apt install libsdl-ttf-dev

fedora:
sudo dmf install SDL2 SDL2-devel
sudo dnf install SDL2_ttf SDL2_ttf-devel

mac:
brew install SDL2
brew install SDL2_ttf

Compilation:
  git clone https://github.com/flpDiskJ/Octopus-tracker.git
  cd Octopus-tracker
  mkdir build && cd build
  Note: make sure SDL2, SDL_ttf, and cmake are properly installed
  cmake ..
  make
  ./octopus
