Using Your Controller as a Mouse

Tony Atkins edited this page Sep 26, 2024 · 2 revisions

Introduction

Although it's a goal to add support, the Gamepad Navigator doesn't currently support using your controller like a mouse.

There are a range of programs that allow you to configure your controller to act as a keyboard and/or mouse. You can use these on their own, or in combination with the gamepad navigator. For example, you might configure one thumb stick to control the mouse pointer and configure the triggers to act as the left and right mouse buttons. The key thing to remember when using another program in combination with the gamepad navigator is that you should use different controls for each program, i.e. you shouldn't configure the a button to do one thing in the gamepad navigator and another in an external program.
