Hi! On Mastodon, instances federate based on the following/follower relationships of their users, and timelines are distinguished as local (content produced by their own users) and remote (all content that the server "sees" based on the subscriptions of its users), and they are populated with this remote instances' content. Some instance administrators, to increase traffic, use relays that redistribute all the content they receive (from other instances, even if no local user has any relationship to any user of that instance) to all registered instances, creating the impression of a certain level of activity. I preferred to avoid this approach as it would have generated unnecessary uncontrolled traffic. That's why I mentioned that it would grow 'based on users' interests and following.' Other than that, I have read your proposals and changes, and they are perfectly fine.
