make build
sudo make install
Or use the user-friendly dialog utility (wizard.sh
)
which also supports configuring yocto
- Save: Ctrl-S
- Exit: Ctrl-C
- Go to start of line: Ctrl-A
- Go to end of line: Ctrl-E
- Open other file Alt-R
- Calculate x offset (for UTF-8): Alt-U
- Enter built-in terminal: Alt-C
- Show info: Alt-I (also command stats in built-in terminal)
Some define fast as reasonably optimized, in yocto fast means faster than every other editor available. As anyone can understand from these benchmarks yocto is indeed fast.
Yocto is the SI (metric) prefix for 10^-24. Since this text editor is tiny, yocto is a suitable name.
