Initial and general recombination in ionization chambers for proton beams
The new version features examples of how to easily calculate both the initial and general recombination in a proton beam
Including:
- Direct comparison with the Jaffé theory for initial recombination
- total recombination correction factor based on:
- proton energy
- polarization voltage
- electrode spacing
- dose rate
Recombination in a continuous beam
The cython implementation has been updated to support python3
Furthermore, the recombination in a continuous beam can now easily be computed with
- FWHM / Gaussian spread of a spot
- the beam current
- beam energy (mono energetic or spectra)
- Ionization chamber specs
Also, an example of how to run the software on a cluster with qsub
and prun
(parallel run) is provided.

The possibility to sampled particle parameters from energy spectra has been added
