The new version features examples of how to easily calculate both the initial and general recombination in a proton beam

Including:

  • Direct comparison with the Jaffé theory for initial recombination
  • total recombination correction factor based on:
    • proton energy
    • polarization voltage
    • electrode spacing
    • dose rate

The cython implementation has been updated to support python3

Furthermore, the recombination in a continuous beam can now easily be computed with

  • FWHM / Gaussian spread of a spot
  • the beam current
  • beam energy (mono energetic or spectra)
  • Ionization chamber specs

Also, an example of how to run the software on a cluster with qsub and prun (parallel run) is provided.
