A lot has happened since the v1 release of
@jspsych/config
and Node.js 14 reached EOL four month ago – time to move on and update the build dependencies to their latest versions, including some breaking changes (Rollup v4, Jest v29, TS 5, Node >=18.0.0, NPM >=9.0.0). Technically, jsPsych v8 will make breaking changes to @jspsych/config anyway by introducing esbuild, but quite some time may pass until then and it's only fair to keep the jsPsych v7 build tools up-to-date for as long as feasible. This also allows us to tackle #3121 right away.This PR is currently blocked by davestewart/alias-hq#72, hence opening it as a draft for now.
