VITAuth is an authentication module that uses the VIT University Student/Parent Login for authentication (vtop.vit.ac.in). It is aimed at simplifying scraping and login tasks. Takes care of the captcha and returns a cookieJar with the authenticated cookie.
npm install vitauth
var Auth = require('vitauth');
//Student Login
Auth.studentAuth('sample_reg_no', 'sample_pass', function (name, regno, cookieJ, err) {
//name is the name of the student, regno is the student registration number,
//cookieJ is the cookiejar that has to be used with future requests.
//Optional
unirest.get(sample_vtop_link)
.jar(cookieJ)
.timeout(28000)
.end(sample_function);
});
//Parent Login
Auth.parentAuth('sample_reg_no', 'sample_dob', 'sample_mobile', function (name, regno, cookieJ, err) {
//name is the name of the student, regno is the student registration number,
//cookieJ is the cookiejar that has to be used with future requests.
});
- Stable with appropriate err messages
- Checks for student login blocked due to feedback
- No invalid captcha error, 100% success rate.
