Launch the latest version of WSBEditor.
WSBEditor is a web-based Windows Sandbox configuration file (*.wsb) editor.
- Lightweight (everything in one file)
- Runs directly from browser
- No installation required
- Includes new configuration options introduced in Windows 10 Version 2004 (aka the May 2020 update).
- Create Sandbox configuration files
- Templates for Sandbox configuration
- Open (and edit) your configuration files
You may choose between:
- WSBEditor-Latest.html (Latest Release) (Recommended)
- WSBEditor.html (Nightly builds)
- Browse older releases
You may launch the latest version of WSBEditor directly from here - simple.
You may also download WSBEditor onto your device, then double-click the file to launch it in your browser. This is particularly useful if you want to use WSBEditor while you go offline.
For the tech-savvy reader like you: WSBEditor uses only plain vanilla JavaScript (i.e. no jQuery or other fancy JS frameworks/libraries). Therefore, a downloaded copy of WSBEditor works perfectly while your device is offline, except that you may see old-school Arial and miss out my favourite font Ubuntu (spot the irony here?). This beauty of vanilla JS excuses me for being lazy and not learning jQuery.
WSBEditor creates Windows Sandbox configuration files, which are compatible with any system:
- Running Windows 10 build 18342 or later; and
- With Windows Sandbox feature enabled.
Please note that certain configuration options (e.g. printer redirection) require newer versions of Windows 10. If certain configuration options are incompatible with your system, you can still run the configuration file, but the incompatible options will of course be ineffective.
WSBEditor itself is a simple web app - it runs on any browser (including on your phone!!). But after all you will need a PC to launch a Windows Sandbox.
WSBEditor is a work in progress (actually my little attempt at coding while staying-at-home during the COVID-19 pandemic).
Please feel free to support the project or report any issue at the project's GitHub page.

A sidenote: the author happens to a little law student in Hong Kong and is a bit curious about the legal force of GPL in English law jurisdictions. Please reach me out if you know any English/Commonwealth court rulings on the subject.
