Things achieved
- Sandbox movement over the 3D scene
- Terrain based on a height bitmap image [http://www.videotutorialsrock.com/opengl_tutorial/terrain/home.php]
- Understanding how to use objects and mtl files, used for trees
- Lighting over the terrain/objects/buildings
- Spotlight based lighting through the helicopter
Things not achieved and reasons
- Graphic Equalizer in the sky with SDL SDL stores loaded audio in an opaque data format which cannot be processed upon. Other libraries for media loading and processing and FFT calculations were too taxing of the processor and could not be integrated with this project.
