Before importing the gd_stream_example you need to execute
./setup_example.sh
in order to build and install the required gd_extension.
Option 1: Run a stream using gst-launch and a video device:
gst-launch-1.0 -v v4l2src device=/dev/video0 ! videoconvert ! \
x264enc bitrate=4000 tune=zerolatency speed-preset=superfast ! video/x-h264, profile=baseline ! \
mpegtsmux ! srtsink uri=srt://:8888 latency=100
Option 2: Alternatively use gst-launch and a video file src:
gst-launch-1.0 -v filesrc location=/path/to/video.mp4 ! decodebin ! videoconvert ! \
x264enc bitrate=4000 tune=zerolatency speed-preset=superfast ! video/x-h264, profile=baseline ! \
mpegtsmux ! srtsink uri=srt://:8888 latency=100
Import the example project gd_gst_example.project
. Run in debug.
Install the dependencies. Build the extentension
./build_gd_gst.sh --godot-cpp-path=path/to/godot-cpp (version 4.3 tested)
and install it in your custom environment.
