Tech Tools Info Session Website Template (Computer Science LLC)

Hey guys, welcome to the Tech Tools Info Session (Feb 17)! We will make our own portfolio website as part of the Computer Science LLC. This is for beginners who have never made a website. This is a simple repository where you can fork the template and make your changes. Use this as a stepping stone to make your own to display your own projects, achievements, blog, and photos.

Learn about Git

If you're new to Git, you can start by checking out the official documentation and resources:

  • Git Documentation: Official documentation for Git, providing detailed explanations and examples.
  • Git Handbook: GitHub's introductory guide to Git, covering the basics and commonly used commands.
  • Atlassian Git Tutorial: A comprehensive tutorial by Atlassian, covering Git concepts and workflows.

Learn about basic web dev

To get started with web development, here are some helpful resources:

  • MDN Web Docs: MDN Web Docs provide comprehensive guides and tutorials for HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • W3Schools: W3Schools offers interactive tutorials and references for web development technologies.
  • FreeCodeCamp: FreeCodeCamp provides a curriculum covering various web development topics and interactive coding challenges.

Take it further by using a web framework

Once you're familiar with the basics, you can explore using web frameworks to build dynamic and interactive websites. Here are some popular web frameworks you can consider:

  • React: A JavaScript library for building user interfaces. It is widely used and has a large ecosystem of libraries and tools.
  • Angular: A TypeScript-based framework developed by Google for building web applications.
  • Vue.js: A progressive JavaScript framework for building user interfaces, known for its simplicity and flexibility.
  • Django: A high-level Python web framework that follows the model-template-view (MTV) architectural pattern.

Explore these frameworks' documentation and tutorials to understand their features and choose the one that aligns with your preferences and project requirements.
