Setting up to test against some other MariaDB and MySQL versions, will take some time since I will need to build from scratch for some of them. |

Tested against MySQL 8.0.36, working as expected. |

DBD::mysql@4.050has some issues working with MariaDB. Additionally,DBD::mysql@5has dropped support for MySQL 5.7 and MariaDB entirely, supporting only MySQL 8.We should consider migrating to
DBD::MariaDB, which works with MySQL 5.7/8.x and MariaDB.This article provides an in-depth explanation of the problems.
