Jacdac+DeviceScript for RP2040

This project is the DeviceScript runtime for the Raspberry Pi Pico/Pico W. DeviceScript brings a TypeScript developer experience to low-resource microcontroller-based devices. DeviceScript is compiled to a custom VM bytecode, which can run in very constrained environments.

Setup

Development

To build run make - this will clone submodules and invoke cmake as appropriate. Do not clone with --recursive unless you want to wait a long time - just run make.

make

Once you build, copy build/src/devsrunner.uf2 to the RPI-RP2 drive.

Debugging

Debugging is set up for Black Magic Probe. You can convert a $3 Bluepill board into Black Magic Probe. Run make gdb to run GDB.

make gdb

One you have the firmware running,

Publishing

Run make bump to trigger a release.

make bump
