Instructions

First uninstall/disable Area Actions from SMM if you had installed the 1.6.x version from there. Then extract the release zip from here to your_game_install_location\FactoryGame\Mods\AreaActions. Make sure the folder is named AreaActions (not AreaActions_version), and that all the mod files are in that folder, and not nested one folder deeper.

Differences to AA 1.6.x

  • Area Actions is no longer an equipment, but a tab in the build menu
  • Selection modes and actions can be bound to the hotbar
  • Copying and filling are placed as holograms rather than number inputs (the old UI still exists if needed)
  • Blueprints

Changelog

  • Fixed a crash when hovering a blueprint button in the menu

Known Issues

  • Key down events for binding to hotbar don't work until you switch to another category (Selection/Actions/Blueprints) and back
  • Items are not taken (they were in the previous betas)
  • Hologram UI is displayed above everything

Changelog

  • Area Actions is now in the build menu!
  • Selection modes, Actions and Blueprints can be bound to the hotbar
  • Icons for buttons
  • Blueprints now have an icon: an isometric view of the world, centered on the selected area
  • Placement of Copy, Fill, and Blueprints is similar to placing regular buildings
  • Show required and owned items in Copy, Fill and placing Blueprints
  • Holograms turn red if you do not have enough items
  • Show required items when hovering a blueprint
  • Copying and placing a Blueprint will continue after placement, similar to how vanilla holograms behave

Known Issues

  • An early version though, the whole Area Actions UI will be reworked and loading blueprints will not be listed as an action,
    but rather integrated in the build menu
