<br>The Moll Collection is a common name for a collector´s (composite) atlas assembled Bernard Paul Moll in Vienna in the 1740s and 1750s. It is it is the most significant and extensive unit within the library map holdings. Moll (1697-1780) spent his life in Vienna where served as a diplomat. <a href="https://mapy.mzk.cz/en/o-sbirce/bernard-pavel-moll/" class="text-success" target="_blank">The extensive collection</a> (more than 12,000 sheets) includes not only maps but also veduta, town plans, mining maps, copies of inscriptions, etc. Although the collection is only a fragment of Moll's extensive collecting activities (neither the library nor the collection of products of nature have survived), it is a fine example of Enlightenment-era collecting. The original Moll´s <a href="https://mapy.mzk.cz/en/mollova-sbirka/mapograficke-katalogy/" class="text-success" target="_blank">handwritten catalogues</a> have survived, testifying to the original arrangement of the collection. They are preserved in two editions in a total of 47 volumes.
