Event Driven Data Integration - Chnage Data Capture

Creating mimic of CDC using TIBCO BW & ADB plugin for Data sync

CDC - Event driven Integration

Data Synchronization between source and target system

Oracle Database CDC events based on create new record (insert), update, delete or upsert operations and Synchornisation of these event data to target sysgtem using TIBCO BusinessWorks and ADB plugin and JMS broker acting as a event broker for source and target integrations.

Scenarion / Usecase :

  • Subscribing to the Oracle DB tables data changes for operation Ex. Insert, Update, Delete , Upsert, etc.
  • Triggering TIBCO Businessworks workflow and take appropriate action for each event; send each event to JMS (TIBCO EMS) destination
  • Subscribing to JMS destination and perform data transformation (if required) and data synchronization with end target system.

Data Synchronization using TIBCO BusinessWorks

How to setup or run the application?

1. Oracle DB setup

  • Run the provided ddl-employee.sql script that will create the E_Employee table into intended Oracle DB
  • After setup, you can use cmd-Script.sql script cmds to create the different events for various table operations.

1. EMS Server setup

  • Install and setup an TIBCO EMS server
  • Create Event.Q on the server or allow dynamic queue/topic creation with creating > queue in queue.config

2. BusinessWorks Applicaitons

  • Create two workspaces one for DB Event Subscribe app and another for Event Processor app
  • Import the application into workspace
  • Update/correct the values for the module properties for JMS and JDBC conenction; verify its working by creating test connection.
  • Run/Debug the each application in imported in different workspace.
  • Create the Events from database with insert, update or delete operation.
