I installed tensorflow using conda. Detailed installation instructions can be found at https://github.com/tensorflow/tensorflow/
Step 1: Create a conda environment and name it tensorflow:
conda create -n tensorflow python=2.7
Step 2: activate the environment with source activate tensorflow
Step 3: install tensorflow:
conda install -c conda-forge tensorflow
Activate the conda environment: source activate tensorflow
When done with tensorflow, deactivate the environment with source deactivate.
