you can convert the .ts files to .js using the following command:
tsc file_name.ts
# Initializes a watcher process that will keep main.js up to date.
tsc file_name.ts --watch
# tell TypeScript that we are building modules for require.js as opposed ot commonJS (use it inside the modules folder)
tsc --module amd *.ts
