Upgrading MCAL

Before upgrading, we highly recommend that you backup your Mirth Connect Administrator Launcher Connection settings.

Backup Connection settings: Before proceeding, it's important that you backup your existing Connection settings. This can be done in the following ways:

MacOS: Under
Applications
, right click onMirth Connect Administrator Launcher
, clickShow Package Contents
, navigate toContents/java/app/data
, create a backup of theconnections.json
file. -
Unix/Linux: Navigate to the root directory of the
mirth-administrator-launcher
, under/data
, create a backup of theconnections.json
file. -
Windows: Navigate to the root directory of the
Mirth Connect Administrator Launcher
, under/data
, create a backup of theconnections.json
file.

MacOS: Under
- Make sure that you have exited and stopped the Mirth Connect Administrator Launcher before proceeding.
- Run and complete the new Mirth Connect Administrator Launcher installer, choosing the update option using the same installation directory.
- Launch the new Mirth Connect Administrator Launcher and verify your Connection settings.
