Wearable Electronics Workshop for kids/adults based on the Adafruit Gemma tutorials and the Jewelbots Wearables Workshop.
You will need a computer with the Arduino IDE installed.
- Adafruit Gemma Starter Kit - You can buy this as a kit or the pieces individually
- Fabric or Clothing Item
- Washable Fabric Marker or Fabric Chalk

- Pen/Paper for Drawing Circuits

- Micro-USB Cable for Gemma Board
- Fine Conductive Thread - Compatible with most sewing machines
- Color Sequins
- Alligator Clips
- Conductive Paint Pen
- Open the sample code in the Arduino IDE
- Select "Arduino Gemma" from the Tools/Board Menu
- Select USBtinyISP from the Tools/Programmer
- Plug in the Gemma and look for a green light to show that it has power
- For computers running Windows, you must install the USBtiny drivers
- Press the button on the Gemma/Trinket until you see the red LED pulse (ready to receive data)
- Click the upload button in the Arduino IDE within 10 seconds to upload the sketch to the Gemma
